The journey from Geneva to Les Arcs
Our friendly and uniformed Mountain Rescue driver will meet you in Terminal 1 or 2 arrivals area. We have designated meeting point for each terminal.
Your journey to Les Arcs starts on the A41 towards the pretty town of Annecy, which is built in close proximity to an enormous lake, called Lac d'Annecy which is known as one of Europes cleanest lakes and as well as being our favourite view of the trip is pretty massive at 14.6km long, infant it takes around 20 minute to travel from on end to the other.
Our driver follows the road close to the side of the lake; a very beautiful part of the journey. In daylight you will notice the mountains rise up from behind the water as we drive. We use this route as opposed to the toll roads regularly because it's the fastest when there is holiday traffic.
Once past Lac d'Annecy we follow main road, reaching Albertville. We travel on-wards to Moûtiers and then to Bourg Saint Maurice.
At the town of Bourg Saint Maurice we take the recently re-routed road which takes us under the funicular, where we continue upwards towards the resorts of Les Arcs.
The trip up the mountain normally takes around 20 minutes. Don't worry our drivers are extremely conscientious chaps that have tons of snow driving experience and our vehicles are totally alpine ready.
Travel Tips – Geneva to Les Arcs
Saturday is often the quietest day of the week on the slopes as everyone else is travelling. Why not fly into Geneva late on Friday evening? Book a night in a Geneva airport hotel then we will collect you first thing on Saturday. That way you are out on the empty slopes on Saturday morning!
At Geneva airport
At Geneva airport, once you have disembarked your plane, you are directed from either terminal. T1 pease go direct to the Swiss side of the airport and T2 please head to the information area. We have a designated meeting point for each terminal.
Plan your journey
We recommend landing in Geneva early morning if travelling on a Saturday. This helps to avoid any traffic build up that usually occurs later in the day.
It gets pretty chilly in Les Arcs 2000, so be prepared for the exit from the vehicle. Have warm coats and beanie hats at the ready! Especially if you are arriving at night.
Supermarkets on the way to Les Arcs
Supermarket stops can and must be booked in advance - a great way to arrive prepared at your accommodation. Our favoured shop stop on route to Les Arcs is Super U at Bourg St Maurice. You can even pre order your shopping and pick it up on the day.

Departure time from Les Arcs to Geneva will be around 5 and a half hours before your flight time.
This is subject to change on the busier weeks of the season such as school holidays or during bad weather conditions.

Resorts close to Les Arcs
Les Arcs is joined to Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne as part of the Paradiski ski region, and Tignes, part of the Espace Killy region, is just 1 hour away by road.
Tignes and Val d’Isère are joined, making up the Espace Killy region, so this area is well worth a visit if you are feeling adventurous. Espace Killy is well known for great après ski and you have an abundance of restaurants to choose from.
Bourg St Maurice
Bourg St Maurice (Bourg Saint Maurice or Bourg) is a town located at the foot of the Les Arcs mountains. It is the end of the train line in the Tarentaise valley, so travellers often get off the train here and then take further transportation on to Saint Foy, Tignes and Val d'Isere.
The Bourg St Maurice ski resorts are the Les Arcs ski resorts - and they are accessed via the funicular train, which whisks guests up to 1950 metres. You can then catch the Mont Blanc ski lift and ski to Les Arcs 1800 or Peisey-Vallandry.
