About Montchavin & Les Coches
Based in the La Plagne ski area, Montchavin and Les Coches are popular destinations for travellers of all ages.
When Montchavin's farming and agriculture declined during the 1960s, the village became a perfect spot for tourism instead. Today it's full of interesting shops, lively bars and restaurants. Since accommodation sits right next to the slopes, it's grown into one of La Plagne's largest resorts.
Building work in Les Coches began shortly after, and the stunning mountain village became a sought-after resort for winter and summer sports alike.
Thanks to the Vanoise Express, visitors to both villages can easily reach the 134 slopes across Peisey-Vallandry too.
