Built for the Courchevel road. The climb from Moûtiers is steep, with tight hairpins above Brides-les-Bains. Our minibuses are all 4Motion four-wheel drive on proper winter tyres, so snow doesn't slow us down.

Straight to your door. Courchevel is spread over several levels, and some chalets sit on narrow side roads. We take you as close to your front door as the road allows, not to a drop-off point in the village.

Once you've collected your bags, come through to the arrivals hall, where your driver will be waiting with a name board. The evening before you fly, we'll text and email you the driver's name and mobile number, so you can call them straight away if anything changes.

From the airport, we join the A43 towards Chambéry and follow it to Albertville, home of the 1992 Winter Olympics. The road then runs up the Tarentaise valley to Moûtiers, the small town where the Three Valleys begin. That first 170 km is almost all motorway and dual carriageway.

From Moûtiers, the last 25 km climbs past the spa town of Brides-les-Bains and up through the forest. Le Praz and Courchevel Village come first, then Moriond, and finally Courchevel 1850 at the top, with views across the whole valley.

Most Courchevel chalets change over on a Saturday, so the A43 and the road through Moûtiers are at their busiest on Saturday afternoons. A morning flight into Lyon, or an early evening one, usually means a much smoother journey. The same applies on the way home.

On your last day, we'll usually collect you around 5 hours before your flight. That leaves time for Saturday traffic in the valley and for check-in at Lyon. In school holidays, we may come a little earlier. Your exact pick-up time will arrive by text the evening before.

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are all free, and we fit them before you land. Just tell us your children's ages when you book. French law says every child needs their own seat, so please include them in your passenger numbers.

Groceries in Courchevel are expensive, especially in 1850. We can stop at the Carrefour in Moûtiers on the way up, so you can fill the fridge at valley prices. Just ask for a shopping stop when you book.

Is Lyon or Geneva better for Courchevel?

Both take around 2 hours 30 minutes. Lyon is around 195 km from Courchevel and Geneva around 188 km, so the drive is much the same. Lyon often has cheaper flights and quieter roads, while Geneva has more flights to choose from. We run private transfers from both airports.

Is the road to Courchevel difficult in snow?

The final climb from Moûtiers is steep and winding, and cars without winter equipment can get stuck in heavy snow. Our 4WD minibuses and local drivers handle it every day of the season.

Can you take us to our chalet door in 1850?

Yes. We drive you as close to your accommodation as the road allows, including chalets on the smaller roads around 1850 and Moriond.

How much luggage and ski equipment can we bring?

Our long-wheelbase Caravelles have room for a suitcase and a pair of skis or a snowboard for each passenger. If you're bringing extra kit, just tell us when you book.

What if our flight into Lyon is delayed?

We track your flight, so your driver knows if you're running late. The first 90 minutes of waiting are free. After that, we can stay longer for a fee if the drivers schedule allows.

Courchevel sits at the heart of the Three Valleys, the world's largest linked ski area, with around 600 km of pistes. It's known for its Michelin-starred restaurants, designer shops and superbly groomed slopes, and Courchevel 1850 was the first French ski resort to be built from scratch.

Each village has its own feel, from the glamour of 1850 to the family-friendly slopes of Moriond and the traditional village of Le Praz, down among the trees.

With a Three Valleys pass, you can ski from Courchevel to Méribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. La Tania sits between Courchevel and Méribel, and is often a quieter base for the same slopes.
