Paradiski
The Paradiski ski area is a high altitude resort famous for it’s varied terrain. It
provides uninterrupted skiing between Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry
and has been linked, since 2003, by the double decker, 200 person Vanoise
Express; a rapid and spectacular ride in itself!
A huge and diverse skiing area, the Paradiski area offers 425km of piste
including 12 green, 132 blue, 65 red and 29 black runs, as well as 2 glaciers, 5
snowparks, 3 boardcross courses and a halfpipe! You can practice your new
tricks on the airbag near the snowpark, or in Springtime, ride the infamous
‘waterslide’, and if you don’t quite feel up to that, kick back and watch other
people get wet instead!
Some of the highlights of Paradiski area are the masses of easily accessible off-
piste, the phenomenal tree runs around Vallandry, Les Coches and 1600 and the
possibility to experience night skiing. And don’t miss the run from the top of the
Aiguille Rouge (the highest summit in resort at 3000m) with it’s breath-taking
views over the French, Italian and Swiss Alps.
For riders new to the mountains, Paradiski has excellent ski schools and
beginner slopes.
There is more to do than just skiing and snowboarding here in Paradiski too. A
host of winter activities await you such as ice climbing, bobsleigh rides on the
Olympic bobsleigh run, luging, paragliding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, riding
with huskies, cross country skiing and walking in the national Park. You can also
spend an evening at the igloo village. 200m above sea level! It consists of an ice
cave, igloo bar, rooms, dining area and dance floor.
Paradiski is now one of the largest and most exciting ski areas in Europe; an
awesome play ground for beginners and experts alike.
