Chambéry Airport is the closest of all the international airports in the area. The airport is around 135km from Les Arcs 1950 and this takes about 2 hours with no traffic.
The route from Chambéry to Albertville is all toll roads so early in the morning its a breeze just clear motorway until the foothills of the resorts.
From Albertville you carry on the N90 to La Bathie then Moûtiers.
Once you reach the town of Bourg Sainte Maurice you swing through the town and head up towards the Arcs 1600, 1800, 1950 and finally Arc 2000.
Mountain Rescue recommends you land in Geneva early morning if traveling on a Saturday. This will help you avoid any traffic build up that usually occurs closer to resort later in the day.
