The Duel Motor Model S has been hailed as a categorical improvement on the conventional all-drive system. With a motor front and back the Model S digitally controls the torque to the front and rear wheels giving massively superior traction in all conditions.
The Model S Performance comes standard with an All-Wheel Drive Dual Motor, pairing the high performance rear motor with a high efficiency front motor to achieve supercar acceleration, from zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds.
