Getting to Tignes
The Airport of Lyon Saint Exupery was named after a famous writer and pilot back in 2000 and nowadays is a hub for Air France and Easy Jet
Our lovely driver will meet you at the arrivals area and load up ready for the trip. Once leaving the airport you will be heading towards Chambery down the A43 motorway.
Once you have pasted Chambery you head on towards the town of Albertville, the location of the 1992 winter Olympics.
Onwards from Albertville is Moutiers and then to Bourg Sainte Maurice home to all the big supermarkets in the area and frequently visited by masses of chalets hosts.
Climbing up the mountain towards Tignes Les Brevieres 1550 meters then over the dam to the newly named Tignes 1800 then Tignes Le Lac and finally at the foot of the glacier Tignes Val Claret.
Mountain Rescue recommend you land relatively early in Lyon if travelling on a Saturday. This will help you avoid any traffic build up that usually occurs on the mountain roads later in the day. Departure time from Tignes to Lyon will normally be around 5h 30 min before your flight time. This is subject to change, see at the time of booking.
