The route Geneva to Val Thorens will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes but is of course dependent on traffic and snow conditions or a combination of both.
Traveling on Saturdays we would recommend you land nice an early in Geneva to avoid the afternoon traffic closer to the mountains.
You will be met in the arrivals lounge by one of our drivers, we have a special meeting point and our driver will be holding a sign with your booking name on. Once you have been taken to your minibus and your luggage loaded up you will head off in the direction of France and the French Alps.
After the French boarder control you will be following the route towards the town of Annecy. Navigating along the route close the 14km long lake of Annecy you get some great views of the foothills of the Savoie Mountains. The next main town you get to is Albertville famous for holding the winter Olympics in 1992.
Moutiers is the town situated at the break off point for two main routes heading up into the 3 Valleys ski area, one road for Les Menuires and Val Thorens and the other for Meribel and Courchevel. Here you will head straight up the mountain road, the journey from this point still another 40 km so you have plenty of time to get excited and enjoy the twists and turns of this extraordinarily long mountain road.
Val Thorens is one of the highest ski resorts in Europe so it cant be beaten for snow sure skiing, it’s the perfect spot for early and later season ski adventures. Enjoy!
