Peisey Vallandry transfers

Mountain Rescue offer Peisey Vallandry transfers from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery airports. 

Transfer time from Geneva to Peisey Vallandry is around two and a half hours. Transfer time from Lyon and Grenoble is also around two and a half hours. Transfers from Chambery airport are around one and a half hours.

Resort guide

Mountain Rescue offers private airport transfers to Peisey Vallandry and the surrounding area of Peisey Nancroix, Moulin and Nancroix. All of these villages access to the pistes are the the Peisey Vallandry lift station located at 1650 meters.

Peisey  is also the home of the Vanoise Express cable car that spans the divide between the Les Arcs ski area and La Plagne. The 180 person cable car built in 2003 stretches 1800 meters and is elevated 380 meters above the valley floor. The introduction of the Vanoise Express created the ski area now known as the Paradiski, Les Arcs and La Plagne combined and makes for one of the largest ski areas in Europe with 425 KM of piste to keep you busy.

Peisey Vallandry is nestled comfortably into the tree line and enjoys skiing for all levels. There is an excellent beginners area with its own lifts and a selection of very wide open pistes and easy runs winding through the trees. Intermediate will find the Peisey Vallandry area a brilliant place to home the skills, massive blues and not to tricky reds will keep you entertains for days.

Peisey Vallandry’s pistes are varied and have an abundance of intermediate runs in fact over 50% of then could be considered for the intermediate level making it a fun place for families to enjoy.

Plenty of stuff for the advanced skiers too with lots of relatively easily accessible off piste such as La Grive (local knowledge and stable conditions required) as well as almost unlimited tree runs off the Derby chairlift.

About half of the chalets and apartments in the are a pretty much ski in ski out, the rest are only a few hundred meters from the pistes and lifts.

Peisey enjoys some good apres ski in the form of the Mont Blanc bar at the bottom of the Grizzly chair lift as well as La Vache, a smashing place for evening meals and afternoon beers alike.

There is also a lot of charming ski chalets in the surrounding villages such as Peisey Nancroix and Moulin, Peisey Nancroix has a free chairlift that brings skiers staying here up to the main area in a few minutes, many chalet companies also offer free shuttles to the slopes.

Transfers to Peisey Vallandry will take around one and a half hours from Chambery and two and a half from Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble.
